MA Lighting University training participants must have basic knowledge of lighting control and DMX512 control protocol. The participants must be familiar with the fundamentals of operation of multi-channel lighting devices.

The course is intended for up to three participants in each group ensuring personal attention and the acquisition of practical skills.

MA dot2 lighting control console operation user training
1 day

The aim of the course is to introduce lighting control console operators to the basic features of MA dot2, as well as dot2 on PC and dot2 3D software.

Programme:

  • Control surface and connections;
  • Use and transfer of Show files;
  • Basic programming;
  • Light effect generator operation;
  • Adding Dot2 3D;
  • Networking and basic principles.
MA VPU (video processing unit) operation user training
2 days

The course is intended for operators who have completed the grandMA2 user training course and are already working with a VPU or wish to do so in the future.

Programme:

  • Video processing unit and connections, as well as the concept of VPU;
  • MA VPU settings, network settings;
  • Working in a network;
  • Pixel mapping, device address assignment;
  • Warper masking;
  • Camera video inputs;
  • MA VPU and lighting control integrated in the common network;
  • Video formats.
GrandMA2 control network and system training
2 days

The course is intended for experienced operators, system planners responsible for control system planning and implementation, as well as companies in the field of selling MA Lighting products and technical support.

Programme:

  • MA Lighting system philosophy;
  • MA devices and fundamentals of their operation;
  • Fundamentals of MA networking;
  • Other light control networks and their basics;
  • IP conditions, sessions, parameter summing;
  • User profiles and administration;
  • Remote control;
  • System planning;
  • Network monitoring, network test, solving issues;
  • Advanced MA system networking.
grandMA2 user training (advanced)

The course is intended for operators who have completed the grandMA2 user training course and are familiar with DMX and networking basics.

Programme:

  • Preset, worlds, filters;
  • Use of Layout and Bitmap effects;
  • Correcting Cuelist, individual times, tracking;
  • Timecode;
  • Macros;
  • Advanced device patching and Fixture type;
  • MA tricks;
  • Complex effects and bitmap effects;
  • User profiles and administration;
  • Remote control;
  • Executor settings;
  • Advanced MA system networking.
GrandMA2 user training (basic)
2 days

GrandMA2 user introductory course is intended for novice users who have acquired knowledge by watching video tutorials regarding grandMA2 operation on YouTube.

Programme:

  • Control surface and connections;
  • Use and transfer of Show files;
  • Control panel settings and lighting devices;
  • Control screens and their settings;
  • Basic programming;
  • Preset, Sequence, Command line;
  • Light effect generator operation;
  • Control network conditions and settings;
  • MA system networking basics.
Basic for work with MA on PC Command Wing operation

The aim of the course is to introduce lighting control console operators to the basic features of MA onPC Command Wing, as well as grandMA2 software.

Programme:

  • Control surface and connections;
  • Use and transfer of Show files;
  • Basic programming;
  • Light effect generator operation.
