Radisson Blu hotel Latvia Conference & Events centre

Equipment modernisation in the Conference & Events Centre of hotel

August 2017

The hotel was built in 1979. Its original name was Intūrists, later it was added to the Reval Hotel network and renamed Reval Hotel Latvia. From 1999 to 2001, the hotel underwent major reconstruction but in 2004 a new adjoining building was built. In 2010, Reval Hotels changed their brand in all of the Baltic states, as a result of which the hotel was given a new name – Radisson Blu Hotel Latvia.

Radisson Blu Hotel Latvia is located in the business and shopping centre of Riga and not only offers visitors comfortable rooms, different entertainment options and an unforgettable panoramic view of the city from the 26th floor, but thanks to the most significant Conference and business centre in Baltics, which is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel, it also offers business opportunities.

Multifunctional conference rooms with a capacity of up to 2 500 people and 16 halls with different capacities are perfectly suited for international events, as well as private and corporate events. Each room is equipped with the latest audiovisual technologies, and different services are available to ensure the successful course of events.

Concurrently with other reconstruction works, in summer 2017 the necessary equipment for events and conferences in the Conference and business centre of the hotel was modernised, too. Realisation of the project was entrusted to us - SGS Sistēmas, so we continued our previous cooperation, regarding which we were very pleased.

As part of the project, we delivered and installed Milos aluminium truss lights, decorations and fabric for hanging, Chauvet and Philips Selecon spotlights, which will be easy to use in any of the conference halls in the hotel. However, with the Chauvet LED spotlights, clients will have the opportunity to give the room corporate colours chosen by the client.

It is important for us that our clients get the best out of the equipment, therefore at the end of the project we carried out a two day training course on the new MA Lighting dot2 Core Lighting control console for technical staff. The training was led by a specialist from our company Jurijs Fjodorovs.
